Writing is a journey, and the Heart of Kinshasa saga is one that transforms me as much as it reveals me. After Ifoku, the second volume in the series is ready to meet its readers. In it, I tackle new wounds, new encounters, and always this essential question: how can we reconcile our past with what we want to become?

This new book promises to be more mature, more lucid. The characters move forward in a world that challenges them, with an emotional intensity I’ve never explored before.
